Home-made hummus – recipe

INGREDIENTS:

 1 boiled chick-peas (300-400 g)
 ½ lemon
 2 cloves garlic
 2 tbsp. sesame tahini
 salt
 red pepper powder for sprinkle

DIRECTIONS:

Open the can of chick-peas and pour it into the blender with some of the water. Keep the remaining water if after blending all the ingredients you want to dilute the hummus mixture. Blend until you get a fine texture without any large pieces.

Add the other ingredients - the lemon juice, the garlic and the tahini.

Blend until you get a fine mixture. Try the hummus and add salt to taste. You can optionally add more lemon or tahini. If the ready mixture seems very thick, add a little water left from the boiled chickpeas. Blend again for a few seconds.

When serving, sprinkle with olive oil and red pepper powder. Bon appetit!
