Corn bread recipe

INGREDIENTS:

 300 g white flour
 200 g corn flour
 1 cup of warm milk
 100 g soft butter
 3 2 eggs + 1 more egg for coating (optional)
 20 g of fresh yeast (about 20 grams) or 1 package of dry yeast (7 grams)
 1 tsp sugar
 2 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:

Yeast and sugar are dissolved in warm milk. Add 2-3 tablespoons of flour until the mixture becomes thick. Let the mixture for about 10 minutes to rise. The mixture swells, almost doubles and forms a "hat" on top.

Corn flour and salt are poured into a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and the beaten eggs.

Gradually add the white flour until a soft dough is reached.

Allow to warm up until it rises until double.

After that the dough is kneaded again on a surface sprinled with corn flour.

Dough is rolled up into a rectangle about 1 cm thick. Half of it is smeared with the melted butter and topped with the other half.

Cut into stripes about 4-5 cm wide. In the middle of each strip make a long cut that does not reach the end.

The obtained strips are twisted 2-3 times through the slit, making braids.

Place them in a bakinh pan covered with baking paper. Allow them to rise again for another 20 minutes.

Brush them with a beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius until ready.
